I enjoy treating sports injuries and have seen my share of overuse injuries over the years. A two-year bout of chronic recurring tendonitis during college track seasons, which ‘magically’ resolved with a set of prescription orthotics, is what led me to a career in Podiatric medicine. I have 28 years under my belt of military service. As a former Navy SEAL, I understand the importance of healthy feet in connection to vigorous exercise and job requirements. In 1988, I returned to active duty to develop a podiatric surgical residency program at the National Naval Medical Center. I also served as a Medical Consultant to the United States Naval Academy and other medical facilities. I finished my service years as a podiatric consultant assigned to the SEAL Training Command and Naval Special Warfare. I am a Certified pedorthist with an orthotic fabrication background.

Dr. Ann C. Anderson became interested in a career of foot and ankle surgery after her 20 years experience as a ballet dancer. She understands the importance of preserving an active lifestyle, having a special interest with patients with complicated wounds and preserving their ability to walk. No matter how serious a problem, everyone wants to get back to his or her normal routine. Having a passion for a sport, any injury can cause us to lose hope when injured. Come see Dr. Anderson and get some hope and insight on your injury.
